Making The Most Of The Day & Days To Come

Friday is here, thank God. I love Fridays and so look forward to the weekends, as most people do. However, occasionally we all encounter down days and even down weekends. They just seem to come with life. Maybe your encountering a down day and not really looking forward to the weekend. If that's the case let me encourage you to rise above whatever is holding you down and back from enjoying your day and weekend.
 
One of the ways that we overcome depression, sadness, disappointment and what I call bad hair days is through prayer and worship. When we focus on God in prayer or worship, God responds. That's part of having a relationship with God and when God shows up, things change. So if your boats being tossed to and fro in the storms of life, invite Jesus into the boat and He will calm the storms.

Swine Flu Dangers

Tonight we watched a extensive program on the swine flu, how it spreads, how it attacks and the overall dangers of the swine flu. I was in shock to watch just how this particular flu can so easily be transmitted and caught. Further, this isn't your typical flu and the potential of a swine flu outbreak should be taken very serious.
 
I'm not going to try and play doctor or scientists by writing about the swine flu, however I do encourage you to become educated about the swine flu and how to protect yourself and your family from catching it.
 
Become educated and apply wisdom as winter unfolds.

There Is Power In The Tongue, Therefore Use That Power For Blessings

Fill your life and home with blessings by simply proclaiming God's Word. You see, when you align your words with God's word, blessings will come to you. However if you fill your life and home with fear, worry, concern, anxieties, and complaining, you will reap the fruit of those words spoken. Therefore, speak God word over your life, family and home and you will find God's favor flowing.
 
Remember, there is power in the tongue, therefore use that power for good.

Nasty words, however some people just cant stop. They complain about everything and sometimes everyone. It doesn't matter how much money they have, how many things they have or what the seasons is. They complain and complain and are never happy.

Sure they can put a smile on their face, laugh, play the part and act the role. But underneath it all, they complain and are never truly happy. It's sad because in the end, they bring sickness upon themselves and create such a bad odor that most people don't want to be around them.

Constant complaining comes with deep roots that require a change of heart.

Swine Flu Concerns

Is there anyone that is not familiar with the words Swine flu? I think not considering it has made headline news on television and all over the Internet. Amazing, right before and in the midst of all the Health Care talks. Regardless, our nation and world is gearing up for the potentials of a Swine flu outbreak. Swine flu shots are now being made available and the flu season is just around the corner. At this point all we can do is educate ourselves about this potential flu and ways to safeguard ourselves and our families from catching it. Prayer For The Philippines

Friday, October 2nd, 09. Filipinos are bracing for more strong powerful winds and rains from a second typhoon in just eight days. News reports share that ten's of thousands are fleeing from low lying areas and that cleanup operations have been suspended in the flooded capital area. It seems that more potential destruction is on the way as mother nature takes another turn.
 
Please pray for the people of the Philippines, that God would intervene and that lives would be saved.
